mixed experience with some significant drawbacks
cheap bread constant noise
the breakfast was definitely a low point. the bread was cheap and awful. i expected more options for vegetarians. the lack of mushrooms was disappointing. the rooms were outdated. the noise from other guests made sleeping difficult. doors were constantly slamming, especially early in the morning and late at night. it seemed like i was disturbing the staff when i asked questions.

Good Coastal Stay
clean hotel great sea view nightly entertainment
I found the hotel very clean. The windows offered great sea views, with amazing sunsets. Entertainment was available each night, and I saw different artists perform Tuesday through Friday.
The wardrobe access in my room was slightly restricted because of the bed placement.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. They provided excellent service and were attentive to guest needs. I found the reception staff particularly lovely and they were very helpful during the day.

The hotel has easy access to coastal paths. Tolcarne and Lusty Glaze beaches are accessible via steps, I noticed. The cliff road location offers beautiful sea views, but I think the hotel is slightly out of town.

Breakfast was very good. It offered a nice selection of items. I believe the windows in the dining area maximize the sea view, it was lovely.

perfect selection friendly staff missing teaspoon unfilled holes
The breakfast had a perfect selection of food, even marmite was available. Julie welcomed us on reception and was friendly. She knew the area well. She.
Holes were in the tiles above the sink. This occurred after a shelf was removed and the holes hadn't been filled. There were no teaspoons in the room.

convenient location easy walks close roads
The room was a Twin Room. I found the location conveniently close to the beach. It was directly across the street! Walks were very easy with close roads.
The car park at the rear was a bit tight. The entrance was slopy.

a generally ok stay
room cleanliness friendly staff unfair policy parking situation
i really appreciated how clean my room was. it felt very fresh! breakfast was also very good. the staff made sure it was cooked perfectly. even the grapefruit with yoghurt was great. i enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff.
the parking situation was a bit of a problem. the parking policy seemed unfair! it isn't really first come first served. it favors people staying for more than one night. this did not make for a pleasant welcome after such a long day.
